A Foreword To The Book

There are severe penalties for companies and company directors who fail to comply with the Unclaimed Moneys Act. But there is very little academic reference material to assist professional advisers or their clients.

Daniel Chandranayagam, a director of UMACA, and a lawyer by training, has produced a very useful reference work called “The Law and Practice of Unclaimed Moneys in Malaysia”. The book will be published in 2011, and provide detailed references for students and practitioners of law, accountancy and company secretarial work, as well as anyone interested in the technical application of this specific legislation.

Meanwhile, a simplified version of the book is available online, for the general public to read or download for free.
